Melanie is a San Juan Mountain native, and a graduate of Rocky Mountain Center of Botanical Studies of Boulder, CO, where she became a certified clinical herbalist. She taught numerous classes for the Connecting Point Massage School in Telluride, and has led herb walks throughout the area, concentrating specifically on edible and medicinal plants. Melanie enjoys hiking and and sharing her knowledge of edible and medicinal plants to people of all ages.

| GO Date | July 15, 2008 The GO date is the date when, if the minimum number of students has registered, we know the class will be held. If the minimum number of students has not registered by the GO date, the class will be canceled. So be sure and register early to help ensure your class will be held. | ||

| Course Description |
Take your herbal knowledge a little further! A moderate hike going into the mountains. You will recognize and learn about higher altitude plants and what you can do with them. Medicine making skills will be taught in the field.

Pay in full before the GO date and receive a 10% discount on the price of the class. $
33 non-members WCA - $30 if paid in full before GO date We must receive your registration and a 50% deposit by the GO date in order to know if the class will make. | ||

Supply list to be provided by students: 1. Writing material and pens 2. Hat, sunscreen, snacks or sack lunch, water bottle. 3. Camera optional 4. Small jar with lid and a couple of plastic baggies.
