GO Date

Course Description

Elements of the Short Story.

This workshop will review the significant facets of story writing, including beginnings, scene and summary, dialogue writing, setting or place, characters, gestures, thoughts and dreams, flashback, event, and varieties of endings. Since every story (and story writer) is different, we will not set out rules, but rather discuss each of the criteria as useful within the context of the students' work.

It would be helpful if students read The Touching That Lasts before the class.
