Highly respected by peers and savvy collectors nationwide, Dettmer is best known for her evocative oil paintings. However, her explorations with one-of-a-kind artist's books (incorporating mixed media with deeply personal musings) are attracting an increasingly broad audience. Her work is highly individual; years in commercial art honed design, color and drawing skills. Expressive brushwork supports an emotional honesty, enhanced by a sense of mystery and subtle complexities which continue to reveal themselves over time. Dettmer has been featured in numerous articles and her work is included in Ann Templeton's book, "Color and Beyond". She is represented by Pinon Fine Art, Littleton, CO; SmithKlien Gallery, Boulder, CO; Howard/Mandville Gallery, Kirkland, WA; North Moon Gallery, Ouray, CO. She lives and works in the mountains of southwest Colorado Call WCA at (970) 318-0150 or email for a registration form, or Register | ![]() Ann Dettmer | |
