We end with a quick clean‑up\, circle time\, and movement songs. \n\n\n\nThis class gently supports preschool prep and helps children develop important school-readiness skills—such as fine motor coordination\, social\, language\, and communication skills\, independence\, and the ability to listen and follow directions—in a warm\, supportive setting. Parents and caregivers stay to support their child—but we handle the mess! SUMMARY:After-School Art for Ages 8-12 – Session 2: “Colorful Cultures“
DESCRIPTION:SESSION 2 (4 WEEKS • OCTOBER 21 – NOVEMBER 7) \n\n\n\nExplore the vibrant colors\, traditions\, and folk art of Mexico and South America through four unique projects inspired by artists and cultures from across the region. Students will discover how artists use pattern\, color\, storytelling\, and craftsmanship to celebrate their heritage. Projects may include Alebrijes (Fantastic Creature) Sculptures\, Sugar Skull Chalk Portraits\, and Mixed Media Peruvian/Andean Llama Arpilleras.  \n\n\n\nStudents will experiment with a variety of materials and techniques while exploring sculpture\, drawing\, collage\, textiles\, pattern\, and design. \n\n\n\nA student art reception will be held in December. Students will take home their collected works in the days following the event—and may choose to sell their artwork or simply share it with pride. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMulti-session discount: Sign up for multiple sessions at once and get $10 off each! These classes foster a love of art through hands-on projects\, playful experimentation\, and an introduction to key artistic principles—helping students build confidence\, creativity\, and a deeper appreciation for the creative process.
