Mixed Level Pilates in Montrose
May 5, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until May 26, 2021
This one hour class is a mixed level Pilates class. Beginner students are welcome and modifications and challenges will be offered to more intermediate and advanced students.
Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. If practiced with consistency, Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. The core, consisting of the muscles of the abdomen, low back, and hips, is often called the "powerhouse" and is thought to be the key to a person's stability.
This class is offered every Wednesday, 9:00-10:00 am in the Summit Room, and is taught by Trisha Oakland, a Balanced Body trained instructor. Students must bring their owns mats
