In this fun 4-week class, young artists will explore the bold and colorful world of botanical art, inspired by the work of Bernadette Twomey! We will practice drawing flowers and leaves through guided exercises and learn about the elements of art found in Twomey’s vibrant designs.
We will experiment with warm and cool colors, explore different shapes, and use a variety of color combinations to bring our own big, bright botanicals to life. Our final masterpieces will be created on 12×12″ canvases.
Perfect for kids who love color, creativity, and nature!
* Voyager add-on option: Voyager teachers will meet and escort students after art class and provide after school care from 4:30pm-5:30pm. Parents pick up their children at Voyager at 280N Cora Street.
* Should your child have any special needs please contact claudia@weehawkenarts.org before class to ensure that your child will have a fun time.
