Getting Loose Watercolor Workshop with Cheri Isgreen

This is an instructional watercolor workshop suitable for beginning and intermediate painters. Class includes instruction for two paintings, working lunch, demos, critiques.
Materials: students should bring to class the following materials:
two water containers for painting and washing brushes
at least 3 sponges and several clean rags
watercolor brushes: at minimum bring two round brushes- small size and a large brush (#8-12). Also bring two flat brushes- 1/2” and a 1” Bring any other brushes you enjoy using.
Painting palette with mixing well(s)
Watercolor pigments: 3 each blue, red, yellow
Blue: cobalt; thalo (or Windsor); ultramarine.
Red: permanent rose; a warm red like Windsor or cadmium; burnt sienna
Yellow: cool yellow- (hansa medium, lemon yellow, or aureolin); warm yellow- (gamboge or hansa deep); earth yellow-raw sienna
1 full sheet of #140 watercolor paper/cold press; fold in half and bring both sheets to class
fresh bottle of liquid mask; mask pen if you have one
mechanical pencil, HB lead, kneaded eraser
