Karate in Montrose
January 4, 2025 @ 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
The class will only be on Saturdays with extended hours, at the Montrose Field House Apex Room.
- Beginning through intermediate students will participate for up to 1.5 hours each Saturday (but sometimes new, very young students prefer to go just for 1 hour to start until they adjust – the teacher will help parents make the determination when you first get started).
- Advanced students and beginning teens go 2 hours.
- Brown belt and above will attend for attending 2.5 hrs each Saturday.
Join us for Karate with Sensei Kay Briggs. This is a great way to learn skills to keep you safe, stay in shape and strong core movements. Karate believes in using it only to protect self and is taught accordingly. There is no competitive approach to this program and students can attend on a monthly basis.
Younger students (under 14) may participate for one hour while others may participate in the full one and half hours depending on energy and interest.
Whether you are new to Karate or a seasoned student, the Sensei will work with your level. Taught in the kyokushin kai-kan style, similar shotokan style of karate, we welcome new students to try this exceptional experience for your mind and body!
Tuition is $76/month for 2-2.5 hour classes and $56 for 1-1.5 hour classes. Multiple month discounts available by emailing lexi@weehawkenarts.org. Payment & Registration is DUE by or before the first week of the month without exception. Drop-in available at $20 per class, due AT THE TIME of class via cash or check (made out to WCA or Weehawken.)
