Explore the vibrant world of chalk pastels in this fun, hands-on art class led by Weehawken’s youth art instructor, Claudia Brauer! Learn and experiment with chalk pastels to create a series of small landscape drawings from a variety of photographs. Simple techniques such as layering, color mixing, and sketching a composition will be demonstrated. Perfect for beginners. All materials provided.
Beverages are available for purchase. The Imogene rooftop features partly covered areas to provide shelter from the sun; however, we recommend wearing a sun hat or bringing sunscreen for the uncovered sections. In the event that we need to cancel a class due to inclement weather, you will receive a full refund and an email notification either the evening before or the morning of the class. While we strive to accurately forecast the weather, we won’t be able to offer refunds if there are unexpected weather changes during the class. We advise bringing an umbrella for additional protection.
