Ready to dive into the world of abstract art? Join us for a 3-week printmaking class where you’ll create bold, abstract block prints from start to finish, inspired by artist Jane Mitchell’s (1915-1988) surreal organic forms. Using a variety of colorful papers and hand-cut relief blocks, you’ll learn the basics of monoprint, collage, and overprint techniques. With simple tools, you’ll be able to make prints that are easy to recreate at home without a press. We’ll provide plenty of ideas and support in an open studio atmosphere as you work on your project, allowing you to fully explore your creativity and bring your artistic vision to life.
