Discover the early blooming wildflowers of the Foothills
May 26, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Discover the early blooming wildflowers! Ridgway writer Mary Menz and Montrose photographer Jim Pisarowicz will guide participants at several sites to view the variety of plants found at this altitude.
Bring cameras and nature journals to satisfy your creative outlets, too. Jim will offer photography tips on the fly and you’ll learn about the plants and animals that call this place home. Different elevations and habitats provide opportunities to view a wide variety of Colorado’s native plants and wildflowers. Register for one guided experience or all!
Registration includes a copy of their book Common Wildflowers of the San Juan Mountains (2019). Dress for variable weather conditions. More information will be provided one week prior to the event.
