After-School Art for Ages 5-8 – Session 1
September 17 @ 3:15 pm – 4:30 pm
SESSION 1 (4 WEEKS • SEPTEMBER 17 – OCTOBER 8)
Each session, students explore exciting themes and projects while experimenting with a wide variety of art materials—from watercolor and acrylic paints to pastels, clay, collage, printmaking, and more. At this age, the focus is on the creative process, with open-ended projects that encourage exploration, imaginative thinking, and personal expression, allowing children to share big ideas and emotions through their artwork. As students make artistic choices and take creative risks, they begin to discover their unique voice while building confidence, fine motor skills, and social connections in a fun, supportive group environment.
A student art reception will be held in December. Students will take home their collected works in the days following the event—and may choose to sell their artwork or simply share it with pride.
