Explore the art of botanical illustration in this exciting 4-week mixed-media class! Young artists will create stunning floral compositions using oil pastels and watercolor.
Through guided drawing exercises, students will learn to sketch leaves, flowers, and plants, arranging them into a dynamic botanical scene. We will explore color theory and master blending techniques, using oil pastels for bold outlines and watercolor for soft, flowing transitions with wet-into-wet application.
Perfect for young artists who love nature and want to develop their drawing, composition, and painting skills!
Please note: If the Wednesday class is full, sign up for the waitlist! We will add another after-school art group for ages 8-12 on Fridays from 3:15 to 4:45 pm if the Wednesday class reaches capacity.
