Beginner II Classical Sketching

Join us for a fun series of sketching/drawing lessons with Cedar Keshet! The first part of each class will be a discussion of techniques and skills for sketching. The second part of each class will be putting the techniques and skills into practice by sketching from objects and still life provided. This workshop will help participants develop and reinforce skills to enable them to be proficient in sketching and drawing. The participants will learn chronological steps to sketching confidently and creatively expressing themselves using simple sketching materials. We will be following classical sketching and drawing, meaning a realistic approach.
* Basic drawing skills ARE required. This workshop will be a continuation of the Beginner I Classical Sketching class. However, students do not have to take Beginner I to attend Beginner II. If you have been sketching and drawing for at least a year, this class will update, reinforce and refresh your skills.
* Provided materials that you will keep include: 11” x 14” Sketch pad, 15” x 16” Sketch pad board, Set of artist pencils – HB, 2B, 6B, H & 2H, kneaded eraser.
Cost: $180/student plus a $30 material fee for a 4 week session with 8 hours of instruction total starting February 28th
