Black Bear Pass is an incredibly gorgeous wildflower site. This is a unique opportunity to access the 13,000’ saddle and see unique flowers of the San Juans. Ridgway writer Mary Menz and Montrose photographer Jim Pisarowicz will share their extensive plant knowledge and photography tips as participants stroll through open meadows and skirt around alpine lakes. Carpooling via 4 x 4 vehicles.
Registration includes a copy of their book Common Wildflowers of the San Juan Mountains. Participants will meet and carpool—specific directions and more information will be provided via email prior to the event.
