Continue your journey into the world of outdoor sketching and painting in this Plein Air 101 workshop series with Mary Pat Ettinger. With just a few essential supplies, sketching and painting on location can be both exhilarating and rewarding, though it comes with its unique challenges!
In Plein Air 101: Part B, participants will immerse themselves in the experience of painting outdoors, navigating the challenges of weather and lighting. To ensure a fulfilling learning experience, it is recommended that students have some prior experience in landscape painting.
What to Bring:
Students should bring their own plein air set-up and painting supplies. If you’re unsure of what’s needed, feel free to reach out to the instructor directly at marypatettinger1@gmail.com for guidance. Alternatively, if you’d prefer, the instructor can provide paints, brushes, and canvas for an additional $15 fee, payable in cash on the day of class.
Important: Please check your email (and Spam folder) the day before or on the day of class for any unexpected cancellations due to inclement weather. Unless heavy rain is forecasted, the class will proceed as planned. Be prepared to walk up to a mile from the Cora classroom in Ridgway to the outdoor location.
If you have issues with registration, please email lexi@weehawkenarts.org.
