Exploring the rhythms, repetitions, rhymes and other common ground we find in the visual arts, music, and poetry. In this fun hands-on workshop we will look to famous works of art in order to find rhythm, repetition, rhyme, discord, and other devices that can serve as invitations to our own creative process. From there we will explore ways to enliven and enrich our own poems, paintings, gardens, and every-day lives. All participants will come away with two finished poems and one finished painting. $5 art supply fee. Please bring writing materials. No previous experience necessary. All skill levels welcome.
