Weehawken Dance presents The Nutcracker

Talented local dancers from Ouray County, Montrose, Cedaredge, Paonia and beyond usher in the holiday season at the Montrose Pavilion with performances on Dec. 9 (evening), 10 (matinee and evening) & 11 (matinee) in Weehawken Dance’s enchanting annual production of The Nutcracker, plus a very special performance on December 8 of “Nutcracker Sweets” featuring our pre and primary level dancers with support from class assistants and upper level lead dancers.
Under the artistic direction of Natasha Pyeatte, Weehawken’s shows have become an eagerly-anticipated Christmas tradition in the region over the past twelve years. Weehawken’s Nutcracker presents highlights from Tchaikovsky’s traditional Christmas ballet, The Nutcracker, and will feature over 150 dancers in each show (ages 8 through adult), in a production that is as lavish as Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece, itself. From the Waltz of the Snowflakes to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, every scene glitters with its own dreamy radiance, reflecting Pyeatte’s talent, vision, and boundless energy as a teacher and choreographer.
