Weehawken Dance presents The Polar Express

December 10-12, 2021 at Montrose Pavilion

Since its publication in 1985, Chris Van Allsburg’s “The Polar Express” has touched the hearts of millions of readers. It tells the story of Christmas Eve when a boy is awakened by a steam train that pulls up in front of his house and takes him and other children to the North Pole.

This adventure follows a doubting boy, who takes an extraordinary train ride that sends him into a journey of self-discovery and shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. In 2004 Van Allsburg’s book became a movie, and on December 10-12, young dancers from Cedaredge to Silverton will bring the story to the stage as a dance theatre production with Weehawken Dance.
Join Artistic Director, Miss Natasha Pyeatte and enjoy this holiday spectacular. You will journey with this adorable cast to the North Pole and will surely find the magic and “believe” again! Weehawken’s “The Polar Express” features a cast of over 200, ages 8-Adult.

We will also offer a special recital for our youngest performers, ages 2.5-7, called Winter Wonderland.

Whether you know a student in the Weehawken Dance program or not, Weehawken assures you of an enjoyable audience experience. Pyeatte’s shows are built like a real ballet, so the experience is appropriate for any audience.
