Pre & Primary Dance Classes
The Weehawken Dance program runs year-round (28 weeks total of class) split between two semesters that end in performances at the Montrose Pavilion. Sign up for classes run by the semester for Pre & Primary Level classes.
Winter/Spring semester classes run January 8- May 6, 2024. The semester will culminate in a performance of “Alice’s Sweets” based on Alice in Wonderland, Thursday, May 9th at the Montrose Pavilion. Dress Rehearsal will be directly before the performance on the same date.
Payment plans and scholarships available.
Registration opens November 13.
The deadline for all classes is January 26 (if space is available).

Age Guide for classes:
PRE ages 2.5-5 (preschool aged children)
PRIMARY ages 4.5-8 (kindergarten-2nd grade)
*Dancers in this level will work on the movement fundamentals as well as how to follow directions, work within a group and be a part of a class.
*Classes in the PRE level will perform ONE time in the winter & ONE time in the spring in our "Sweets" show. Sweets shows are designed to be fun, exciting, safe and appropriate for the skill and attention span of the tiniest Weehawken Dance performers.

● May 7-12 “Alice in Wonderland” Show Week, NO CLASSES, Dress Rehearsal and Performance Week FOR ALL WEEHAWKEN DANCE FAMILIES (including dance, aerial & circus). All dress rehearsals and performances will be held at the Montrose Pavilion.
DANCE PRICING for Winter/Spring 15 week session:
45 minute class: $255
Show Fee (1 performance): $50
All Dance Classes require an annual dance registration fee of $25. All class registrations come with the option of a monthly payment plan. There is no additional charge for payment plans. Payment plans require auto-draft on credit card and 25% at time of registration.
For New Students
New students will be placed in a class according to their age. All level placements are at the discretion of the Authorized WCA teaching staff. Any deviations from the standard placement must go through an Authorized WCA teaching staff member.
Some classes may be at a mixed level. For example a pre/primary class would mean that the class is a mixed level class, students may be either pre or primary age/level.
